Salesforce Integration

Connect Cue AI with Salesforce for bi-directional sync of opportunities, contacts, and meeting outcomes.

Last updated: February 2026

Overview

The Salesforce integration enables Cue to pull account and contact data for pre-call intelligence, and push meeting outcomes back to Salesforce automatically. This eliminates manual data entry and ensures your CRM stays up to date.

Key capabilities:

  • Automatic account and contact matching for meeting attendees
  • Pre-call briefings enriched with Salesforce opportunity data
  • Post-meeting sync of summaries, action items, and next steps
  • Custom field updates based on meeting signals
  • Activity logging with full meeting context

Prerequisites

Before connecting Salesforce, ensure you have:

  • Salesforce Edition — Professional, Enterprise, or Unlimited edition (Essentials not supported)
  • API Access — API access enabled for your Salesforce org
  • Admin Rights — Salesforce administrator permissions, or coordination with your Salesforce admin
  • Cue Plan — Pro or Enterprise plan (Salesforce integration not available on Individual plan)

Connect Salesforce

Follow these steps to connect your Salesforce org:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Salesforce
  2. Click Connect Salesforce
  3. Log in to Salesforce when prompted (use an admin account)
  4. Review and approve the requested permissions
  5. Select your Salesforce environment (Production or Sandbox)
  6. Click Complete Setup

Note: We recommend connecting to a Sandbox environment first to test the integration before enabling it in Production.

Field Mapping

After connecting, configure how Cue fields map to Salesforce fields. Default mappings are applied automatically, but you can customize them:

Cue FieldDefault Salesforce Field
Meeting SummaryTask → Description
Next StepsOpportunity → Next Step
Action ItemsTask (new task per item)
Deal Stage SignalOpportunity → Stage (optional)

Custom field mappings are available on Enterprise plans. Contact your account manager to configure complex mapping rules.

Sync Behavior

Cue syncs with Salesforce in two directions:

Inbound (Salesforce → Cue)

  • Account and contact data synced every 15 minutes
  • Opportunity data synced in real-time when accessed
  • Full re-sync runs nightly at 2:00 AM (configurable)

Outbound (Cue → Salesforce)

  • Meeting outcomes synced within 5 minutes of call completion
  • Activity logs created immediately after processing
  • Field updates applied based on configured triggers

Custom Objects

Cue can read from and write to custom Salesforce objects. To enable custom object access:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Salesforce → Advanced
  2. Click Add Custom Object
  3. Select the object from the dropdown
  4. Configure read/write permissions
  5. Map Cue fields to custom object fields

Troubleshooting

Common issues and solutions:

"Unable to connect" error

Verify that API access is enabled in Salesforce Setup → API → API Enabled. Your Salesforce edition must support API access.

Records not syncing

Check that the connected Salesforce user has read/write access to the relevant objects. Review sharing rules and field-level security.

Duplicate activities being created

Enable duplicate detection in Settings → Integrations → Salesforce → Sync Settings. Cue will check for existing activities before creating new ones.
